Our Review
These sneakers are constructed from synthetic material and fabric, with a lace up closure and thin, flexible material for extra comfort. They have a cushioned ‘ZigTech’ multipurpose outsole to reduce the pressure on your joints as you pound the pavement, and a breathable mesh outer material for improved fit and comfort while exercising.
It is the ZigTech outsole that defines the Reebok ZigActivate Running Shoe. The technology in the outsole uses the body’s natural gait pattern to “return the energy applied at heelstrike as propulsion on toe off”, and it is this transfer of energy that allows you to continue training for longer by reducing fatigue in your muscles. In short, they spread the energy across your feet, reducing the impact on particularly vulnerable areas, meaning you’ll be able to push yourself harder for longer. They have good heel and arch support, so if you often misstep then these are great for the added security they provide.
The removable PU sockliner gives extra cushioning but can be replaced with a custom orthotics sole where necessary.
They are great walking shoes and the extra padding will make them super comfortable for regular use. We found this a great shoe for tennis, walking and running, and expect them to last a long time before they need replacing. They’re extremely comfortable, and almost feel like you’re walking on air. We’ve been running about 8-10 miles a week in these shoes, as well as plenty of walking to put them through their paces, and have felt no discomfort at all.
They’re extremely diverse – you can happily work out in them, play basketball, then wear them for casual use – one pair of sneakers, multiple uses. The material of the shoelaces also make them difficult to come lose and untie during a long run, so you should be able to keep going for hours without bothersome stops to retie.
Reebok’s ZigActivate running shoes are available in 8 different color combinations, so you should easily find one that catches your eye. Plus they won’t break the bank, with some sizes and colors available for under $50. Click through to find out the price for your desired size and colour.
